Happiness to Me Is..

Happiness is one of those things that’s hard to define but easy to feel, like a warm hug or a peaceful sunset. For me, happiness isn't about grand moments or luxury; it's about the quiet, genuine times I spend with the people I love, the peace I find when I’m alone, and the joy of knowing I’m walking in the path God laid for me.
I find happiness in simple things: sharing a laugh with friends over coffee, sitting with my family and talking about anything under the sun, or even being alone with my thoughts, a book, or a playlist that speaks to my soul. I used to think happiness had to be loud and exciting. But the older I get, the more I realize that real happiness is calm, soft, and comforting.
Being content with what I have is a big part of it. Life doesn’t always give us what we want, but I believe it always gives us what we need. Learning to cope with challenges, to see blessings in disguise, and to appreciate the little things—that’s where happiness quietly lives. It’s in the strength to carry on, the grace to forgive, and the courage to smile even when your heart feels heavy.
My faith is a strong pillar in this journey. Serving God and striving to follow His plans brings me peace that no amount of success or material things can match. When I feel lost or unsure, I remember that He is guiding me, and that alone gives me a sense of happiness rooted in trust and purpose.
My godmother once told us to make at least one person happy every day. It's such a simple goal, but it’s stuck with me. Whether it’s through a compliment, a small favor, or just listening to someone who needs to talk, I try to carry that advice with me. And the beautiful thing is, when I make others happy, I feel happiness multiply in me too.
I believe happiness is what you put in your mind and in your heart. You can be going through a rough time, but still choose to see the good. Even on days when sadness creeps in, if you train your heart to look for light, you’ll find a reason to smile. That, to me, is powerful. That’s real happiness.
Happiness is a mindset, a belief, and a way of living. It's how you view your world, how you treat people, and how you treat yourself. It’s not about being perfect or always cheerful. It’s about being real, being kind, and choosing love even when it's hard. Happiness to me is being grounded in faith, surrounded by love, and always finding a reason to keep going—with a smile on my face and joy in my heart.
